Kirst, who leads the country with 4.90 goals per game, tormented Syracuse’s back line for five goals and three assists, showcasing his near-unstoppable shooting stroke and evasive movement. Kirst’s five-goal effort brought his career goal total to 219, five below the NCAA record set by Virginia’s Payton Cormier last season.
