Syracuse softball’s doubleheader with Colgate, scheduled for Wednesday, has been canceled due to expected inclement weather. The Orange were scheduled to take on the Raiders at the Eaton Street Softball Complex in Hamilton, New York, with the first game slated to start at 2 p.m.
The contests were set to be two of SU’s final four nonconference matchups. Syracuse amassed a 19-4 nonconference record in its 23 games thus far, a stark contrast from its 3-15 record in Atlantic Coast Conference play. With its schedule shrunk, SU now has just eight games remaining, six of which will be in conference play.
The Orange most recently were swept by Virginia in Charlottesville, losing 5-0 and 10-0 in a hitless doubleheader and falling 10-2 the following day.
With an ACC bye this weekend, SU will next be back in action April 23 for a doubleheader at UAlbany.
