Syracuse men’s lacrosse (11-5, 2-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) earned the No. 6 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and will take on Harvard in the first round on May 11 in the JMA Wireless Dome.

If Syracuse defeats the Crimson, it will take on either No. 3 Princeton or Towson in the quarterfinals in Annapolis, Maryland.

The Orange already matched up with Harvard this season, falling 15-14. SU got out to a 5-0 advantage before blowing its lead, dropping its second straight game. The Crimson have consistently been ranked in the top 15 all year, though they ultimately fell in the Ivy League semifinals to Princeton.

Syracuse enters the NCAA Tournament with plenty of momentum. The Orange took down No. 1 Seed Notre Dame 14-12 in the ACC Tournament semifinals before eking out a 9-8 win over No. 3 Seed Duke to claim the title. Syracuse went down to Charlotte on a three-game losing streak. With its season hanging in the balance, SU responded in a massive way.

The Orange went from being on the bubble to comfortably hosting a first round game and having an easier path to the Final Four.

Syracuse’s side of the bracket includes No. 2 Seed Maryland and No. 7 Seed Duke.
