Syracuse attack Emma Ward and midfielder Emma Muchnick were named Inside Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mentions, the organization announced Friday. SU had five players honored last season, and Ward and Olivia Adamson made the 2025 preseason teams, but after a 10-9 campaign, the Orange received just two honorable mention selections.

In her final college season, Ward became a program icon. She largely quarterbacked Syracuse’s offense, leading to her honorable mention selection. While she finished with her lowest goal output of her career (30), she racked up a team-high 46 assists, the second-best mark in her career, totaling 76 points.

Ward’s numbers catapulted her to the 300-point plateau, becoming the seventh player in program history to reach the feat. She also became the Orange’s all-time leader in assists (169), passing Katie Rowan with a dime against Stanford in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament.

Muchnick starred alongside Ward this season on Syracuse’s offense. With SU losing key offensive weapons like Emma Tyrrell and Natalie Smith in the offseason and Adamson to injury, Muchnick stepped up as a viable secondary option.

The midfielder racked up a career-high and team-leading 34 goals, including five in the Orange’s win over Loyola on March 19 and three in their NCAA Tournament First Round victory against Brown. She was also active across the field, totaling 27 ground balls and 13 draw controls.

This is Muchnick’s first time earning IL All-American honors, while it’s Ward’s third after being named an honorable mention in 2024 and making the Third Team the year prior.
