Syracuse wide receiver Darrell Gill Jr. earned Atlantic Coast Conference Receiver of the Week Honors, the conference announced Monday. The junior was acknowledged for his two-touchdown performance in SU’s victory over Colgate on Friday.
As Steve Angeli’s top target, Gill earned Receiver of the Week following a six-reception, 152-yard, two-touchdown display. Gill stole the spotlight early with an unreal leaping catch, which was even featured as the SportsCenter top play Saturday morning and Sunday morning as a “You Got Mossed” highlight on ESPN’s NFL preview show.
He currently ranks fifth in the ACC with 269 receiving yards. He tallied 570 receiving yards in 2024 as Kyle McCord’s fourth option, totaling two touchdowns on 31 receptions.
Gill is the first Syracuse player to earn ACC Player of the Week honors in 2025.
The Orange open their conference slate on the road Saturday against Clemson.
