Syracuse senior Kevin Jobity Jr. was named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Defensive Lineman of the Week, the conference announced Monday. The accolade comes after a three-sack, six-tackle day for Jobity against Pitt.

Jobity has emerged as SU’s top threat on the pass rush for the Orange. His efforts led a season-high seven sack day for Syracuse versus the Panthers, which nearly matched its eight through the first six games.

Jobity began the 2024 campaign as a starter but missed the final eight games with an injury. Across his first three seasons with the Orange, he recorded 5.0 sacks in 25 games. Jobity is now up to 4.0 sacks through seven games this year.

The senior is just the third SU player to earn an all conference honor this year, joining Darrell Gill Jr. and Antoine Deslauriers. Syracuse’s last recognition came following a road victory over Clemson to begin ACC play.
