Syracuse has landed former Penn State commit Alexander Haskell, he announced on social media Wednesday. Haskell is a three-star recruit from Saint Joseph’s Prep in Pennsylvania, the same school as former SU quarterback Kyle McCord.

The 2026 recruit committed to the Nittany Lions on May 9 over other Big Ten powerhouses like Michigan and Ohio State. He promptly decommitted from PSU on Oct. 21, flipping to the Orange a day later. His decommitment came after Penn State fired longtime head coach James Franklin on Oct. 13.

A 6-foot-4, 265 pound, Haskell is ranked as the No. 18 player in the state and the No. 79 ranked defensive lineman in the country. He’s also the eighth Pennsylvania commit in the class and second from Philadelphia specifically, joining tight end Carter Bashir out of Neumann Goretti.

Haskell is SU’s 29th commit in the 2026 class and fourth defensive lineman. Syracuse’s 2026 class is 25th in the country and sixth in the Atlantic Coast Conference, per 247Sports.
