A SUNY ESF van caught fire Monday afternoon near the Campus West Apartments, a Syracuse Fire Department spokesperson confirmed.
No one was injured and only the van was damaged, SFD said in a statement to The Daily Orange.
The driver saw smoke coming from the van while on the road and exited before it caught fire, the spokesperson wrote. The vehicle had undergone repairs earlier Monday morning.
SFD responded to the scene around 1:38 p.m., according to Onondaga County Computer Aided Dispatch records.
