Syracuse offensive lineman Josh Miller intends to enter the transfer portal, he announced on Instagram Tuesday. Miller transferred to SU from Georgia in 2023 and has two years of eligibility remaining.

Miller is entering the transfer portal for the third time in his three years of college football. After following Fran Brown to the Orange in the 2023 offseason, Miller entered the transfer portal following the 2024 season before withdrawing his name. He received the most playing time of his college career in 2025 but plans to enter the transfer portal once again.

The redshirt sophomore appeared in six games for Syracuse this past season, playing left tackle, left guard and center. He earned his biggest role yet at center when Austin Collins went down for an extended time. Miller played 131 snaps across SU’s games versus Pitt and Georgia Tech.

Miller chose Georgia out of the 2023 class after decommitting from Penn State. The Colonial Heights, Virginia, native also held offers from Clemson, Florida State, Texas A&M and Nebraska, among others. With Collins and TJ Ferguson out of eligibility, the Orange will build their offensive line around Byron Washington, who played in nine games in his freshman campaign.
