Syracuse University Orange and Blue Loop shuttles will no longer stop at University Avenue between Harrison and Adams streets due to ongoing construction, SU Parking and Transportation Services announced Thursday.
Construction for the new University Avenue Hotel caused the route change, which is effective immediately, according to a Thursday release. The 200-room hotel, a partnership between Hilton and SU, was announced last April and is planned to open by Fall 2027.
To accommodate, two new stops along University Avenue have been added to the routes, with one at the northwest corner of University Avenue and Harrison Street and another on the southwest corner of University Avenue and Adams Street.
The release did not specify if the original stop would reopen. No other stops on the route will be affected, according to Parking and Transportation.
Parking and Transportation encourages those with questions to contact the department at 315-443-4652.
