Class of 2027 offensive lineman Edwin Guzman committed to Syracuse, he announced on social media Friday. Guzman is SU’s ninth commit in the class, which is the sixth-best in the country, according to 247Sports.

Guzman is a 6-foot-8, 310-pound guard who hails from Erie, Pennsylvania. He’s spent the past two seasons playing with Erie High School. According to 247Sports, Guzman is an unranked recruit with offers from Rutgers, Akron, Toledo, Kent State, Charlotte, among others.

The high school junior earned All-Region 7 All-Star honors after the 2024 season. Despite Erie winning just two games over the past two seasons, Guzman was a standout offensive lineman. He’s currently the lowest-ranked recruit in SU’s 2027 class, joining three-star recruits Stanley Montgomery, Tristin Hughes, Travis Mills and Davion Crumitie.
