Five Syracuse women’s lacrosse players were named Inside Lacrosse All-Americans, the publication announced Friday afternoon. Izzy Lahah took home third-team honors, and Dan Guyette, Molly Guzik, Emma Muchnick and Coco Vandiver were honorable mentions.

SU’s five honorees tied for second-most in the nation, matching Maryland, Michigan and Northwestern and only trailing North Carolina’s six. The Orange’s final count exceeds preseason and midseason expectations, when they earned two and four selections, respectively.

After mostly serving as a scout team member in her first two seasons, Lahah emerged as Syracuse’s top defender this year. Playing on the Orange’s newly-designed defense under first-year head coach Regy Thorpe, Lahah picked up a team-best 52 ground balls and caused 57 turnovers, a single-season program record. She and Vandiver became the first teammates in SU’s history to each have 40-plus caused turnovers in the same campaign.

Although Vandiver played second fiddle to Lahah, her importance as Syracuse’s backer can’t be understated. She became the Orange’s all-time caused turnover leader on March 28 against Pitt and finished with 48 takeaways, a career-high. Vandiver’s tally is tied for 12th in the nation, while Lahah is tied for fifth.

Behind the pair was Guyette, who struggled late in 2025. She reimagined herself this year with a “childlike” mindset, resulting in Atlantic Coast Conference Goalie of the Year honors. Guyette’s 46.4% save clip ranked 23rd nationally and second in the ACC. She held opponents under 10 goals in 16 of 20 starts, helping Syracuse allow just 8.10 scores per game, 10th in Division I.

Offensively, Guzik was SU’s most dependable attack. After finishing with 14 goals last year, the sophomore broke out with a team-leading 44 this season. She totaled 10 assists and went pointless just twice, against Notre Dame on April 11 and UNC on April 24. Her presence took the attention off Muchnick, who entered the season as SU’s No. 1 option.

Still, in her fourth and final collegiate season, Muchnick finished with 25 goals and three assists. While both numbers decreased from last year, the midfielder remained a reliable option on both sides of the field. She forced a career-high 11 turnovers and turned the ball over 21 times herself, a career low.

Despite the individual success, Syracuse’s season ended in heartbreak against Navy in the NCAA Tournament Second Round last weekend. The defeat closes the Orange’s season and Thorpe’s first campaign in the same spot as last year.
