Former Bryant attack/midfielder Zac Amend has committed to Syracuse men’s lacrosse, he announced on social media and Prep Lacrosse’s Ty Xanders reported. Amend earned All-America East Second Team honors in both of the last two seasons.

In two years with Bryant, Amend displayed his goal-scoring prowess — pouring in 24 goals and nine assists as a freshman before upping those totals to 32 and 12 this year. After his freshman campaign, he was also named the 2025 America East Rookie of the Year.

This season, Amend led the Bulldogs in goals and points (44), reaching the four-goal plateau four different times, including bagging a career-high five versus Iona on April 11. He finished his Bryant career with 56 goals, 21 assists and 77 points.

Besides his contributions to the scoreboard, Amend also tallied 43 ground balls and nine caused turnovers with Bryant. With the Orange, he’ll have two years of eligibility remaining.

He’ll also be joining a team losing the majority of its offensive production. SU’s vaunted 2022 class, including its top four point leaders — Joey Spallina, Michael Leo, Finn Thomson and Luke Rhoa — will be gone.

Amend is Syracuse’s second transfer portal addition thus far, alongside former Lafayette midfielder Cooper Pasko. The Orange’s 2026 freshman class also ranks 12th in the country, per Inside Lacrosse, which could help pick up the slack of their graduating seniors.
