Three-star cornerback Dylan Northcutt has committed to Syracuse’s 2027 class, he announced on social media Saturday morning. Northcutt ranks 93rd nationally among cornerbacks and joins an Orange recruiting class placing 35th in the country, per 247Sports.

Hailing from Sherman Oaks, California, Northcutt is SU’s first 2027 commit from the West Coast. At Notre Dame High School (California), the 6-foot-1 prospect spent time on the track and hardwood, only beginning football last season. He finished with 33 tackles, one tackle for loss, six pass breakups and one sack.

Northcutt is the son of former NFL wide receiver Dennis Northcutt, who played in Cleveland, Detroit and Jacksonville during his career from 2000-09.

Northcutt visited the Orange last weekend before a midweek trip to Kansas. Besides Syracuse and the Jayhawks, Northcutt held offers from Wyoming, Montana, Northern Arizona and Southern.
