Beat writers predict Syracuse to fly by Boston College

Chestnuts roasting
The Orange moves to 4-0 in conference play with another convincing Atlantic Coast Conference win. Jerami Grant and Rakeem Christmas build off of standout performances against a more talented North Carolina team and C.J. Fair keeps doing what he does to help SU cruise past the Eagles in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

B-Seeya!
BC guard Olivier Hanlan has as good a shot of outplaying Tyler Ennis as any guard in the ACC, but I don’t see it happening. Ennis responds from his uncharacteristic four-turnover performance against UNC and helps Syracuse fly by an out-matched Eagles team.

Fly like an Eagle
Fair said the Orange won’t lose unless it faces a well-rounded opponent and has an off-night. Boston College is lacking in the frontcourt. Don’t expect Syracuse to be rusty despite the two-day turnaround. Look for a big bounce-back game from Trevor Cooney and the potential return of DaJuan Coleman. The Orange improves to 4-0 in the ACC and strengthens its hold as the conference’s clear-cut power.
