No. 6 seed Syracuse’s Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament Quarterfinal match against No. 3 seed Wake Forest in Louisville, Kentucky, has been postponed, the conference announced.

A UPS plane crash at the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. The plane was taking off from the airport for Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Hawaii, when it crashed, leading to an explosion. The MD-11 aircraft was fully fueled due to its long voyage, allowing the fire to reach nearby facilities, such as a recycling center.

The airport is 2.5 miles from Trager Stadium at the University of Louisville, where the Orange and Demon Deacons were scheduled to square off tonight. Louisville Metro Police Department issued a shelter-in-place order that includes residents within a five-mile radius of the airport. All three other ACC Quarterfinal matchups played as scheduled earlier today.

The Louisville Cardinal, Louisville’s independent student newspaper, announced that the school canceled all night classes and requested that everyone remain in their current locations until further notice.
