Former Florida State wide receiver Elijah Moore has committed to Syracuse, Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reported Friday. Moore, rated as a three-star and the 76th-best receiver in the portal by 247Sports, hauled in five passes across two seasons with the Seminoles and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot-4, 203 pound Moore hails from Olney, Maryland, where he was a four-star recruit in the class of 2024, per 247sports. He was rated as the No. 6 high school player in the state by On3. He committed to FSU on July 4, 2023.

Moore redshirted after appearing in just four games as a true freshman, catching two passes for 17 yards, including a 13-yard reception against Notre Dame.

In 2025, his redshirt freshman season, he hauled in three passes for 52 yards, including a career-long 19-yard catch against Pitt. Moore saw playing time in 10 of FSU’s games, including seven Atlantic Coast Conference matchups, primarily as a rotational receiver.

Now, Moore becomes Syracuse’s first receiver commit of the portal cycle. As a big-framed wideout, look for Moore to thrive in contested catch opportunities and potentially serve as a deep threat for the Orange if given substantial playing time.
